1. The rule
If a consultation you paid for does not take place, you get the full amount back. That is true whether you cancel, the doctor cancels or does not join, or the booking cannot be confirmed. There is no cancellation fee, and no minimum notice.
Refunds are always paid in cash to the payment method you used. We do not issue vouchers or credits in place of a refund.
2. What happens in each case
- You do not pay in time
- The slot is held for 10 minutes. If payment is not completed, the hold is released and nothing is charged.
- You cancel before the appointment
- Full refund of the amount you paid, at any time before the appointment starts. Cancel from your dashboard.
- You reschedule
- You pick a new slot and pay for it, and cancel the old one. The old payment is refunded in full.
- The doctor cancels, or does not join
- Full refund, started automatically. You do not need to ask.
- You do not join
- If the appointment passes without the consultation taking place, the payment is refunded in full.
- Payment taken, booking not confirmed
- For example the hold had expired, or the slot was no longer available when your payment arrived. Full refund, started automatically.
- Paid twice for one booking
- The extra payment is refunded in full.
- The consultation took place
- Not refunded automatically, because the service was provided. If something went wrong on our side, such as a technical failure that stopped the call, write to us and we will review it.
3. How to cancel or reschedule
- On the website: sign in and open Profile → Consultations, then choose Cancel or Reschedule on the appointment under Upcoming.
- In the app: open the appointment and choose Cancel booking, or pick a new time to reschedule.
The confirmation tells you what will happen to your payment. If you cannot cancel yourself, for example because you cannot sign in, contact us and we will do it for you.
4. How long a refund takes
We start the refund as soon as the consultation is cancelled or found not to have taken place. It goes back through Razorpay to the card, UPI app or bank account you paid from. Your appointment page shows where it stands:
- Refund on the way: we have it queued.
- Refund is processing with your bank: it has been sent.
- Refunded: the money has been returned to your payment method.
Once sent, banks usually credit it within 5 to 7 working days, and sometimes longer. If your bank rejects a refund, we retry it. If it has not reached you after 7 working days from the “Refunded” status, write to us with the booking details.
5. Other things to know
- Deleting your account is not possible while a refund is still on its way, so that nothing you are owed is lost. See Delete your account.
- We may refuse or reverse a refund where there is evidence of fraud or misuse of the service, as described in the Terms of Use.
- This policy covers consultations booked through the service. We do not sell or deliver medicines, so there is nothing to return or refund for them.
